Andy Frain Services is seeking a detail-oriented Aviation Cargo Screener to join our team at our aviation-based operations. Our Cargo Screeners are instrumental in maintaining the security and safety of cargo that passes through our clients' facilities daily. As part of our dedicated team, you will be responsible for the inspection of airline cargo, ensuring that all items meet security standards without compromising quick turnaround times or service quality. This role demands a highly vigilant individual prepared to operate within stringent security protocols to protect against unauthorized access and potential security threats. Conduct thorough X-ray screenings and physical inspections of cargo, including baggage and freight, ensuring compliance with TSA regulations and company policies. Identify, report, and handle security threats, including prohibited items in cargo, effectively and compliantly. Document and maintain accurate logs of screened items and incidents for audit and compliance purposes. Operate and maintain screening equipment in functional order, reporting any malfunctions or inconsistencies. Coordinate with other security personnel and airline staff to ensure that all cargo screening processes are executed efficiently. Attend regular training sessions to stay current with the latest security procedures and compliance regulations. Proficiency in using modern screening technologies, including X-ray machines and explosive detection systems. Strong attention to detail and observational abilities. Effective communication and reporting skills. TSA Cargo Screener certification preferred. Completion of a certified safety or security training program.
