Four Star Mechanical is looking to hire several HVAC Installers. Experienced candidates and apprentices with no experience at all will be considered. We are looking for Foreman, Journeymen, Apprentices and those who are interested in starting a career in the Commercial HVAC Industry. Summary: Install HVAC systems and all other related HVAC components correctly and in a timely manner, while also helping facilitate customer satisfaction and workplace safety. All HVAC technicians are expected to work under close supervision within a team-oriented environment and with a minimal amount of creative design, depending on work experience and proven competencies. Key Responsibilities: Install HVAC systems for commercial construction Cutting and threading pipe, using pipe cutters, cutting torch, and pipe-threading machines Installation of sheet metal duct and HVAC equipment Set/mount equipment, rough-in and trim duct systems, experience installing duct systems is preferred Layout and connect electrical wiring between the controls and equipment according to the wiring diagram Ensure customer satisfaction Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Minimum High School Diploma or GED or equivalent; EPA certification a plus Possess effective verbal and written communication skills Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills Must have an honest and dependable personality Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to distinguish between various HVAC equipment Self-motivated individual with strong ability to follow instructions and work alone, as well as work effectively within a team Possession of valid driver's license with good driving record and reliable transportation Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Strong ability to write and read in English language Ability to lift items that weigh up to 100lbs safely Strong ability to operate under severe temperature conditions for long periods of time Must be able to access and navigate all areas of construction sites WORK ENVIRONMENT AND EXPECTATIONS Some job duties are performed within an established office environment under normal lighting and climate-controlled tolerances. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. When the employee is at a work site, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places and outdoor weather conditions. The noise in the work environment is often loud. Requires a consistent physical presence at the branch office to oversee shared services functions and employees, normally achieved by working standard business hours. Certain positions will require flexibility of working hours to meet the demands of the job and the direction of the manager. The work environments are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Requires lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or pulling. Frequently reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
