Director of Casino Marketing (Harrah's Hoosier Park: Anderson, Indiana) 19000CKI SUMMARY Directly and through staff, drive revenue, maximize profits and increase market share by generating new customer traffic, retaining existing valuable clients and growing the overall value of the customer base. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Lead the on-site and off-site efforts of the following marketing areas and the respective staff including: Executive Hosts, Casino Hosts, Group, Retail & Motorcoach Sales, Marketing Research, and Business-to-Business partnerships. Formulate, direct and implement goals and objectives, develop budgets, oversee execution, maintain work schedules and conduct needed evaluation in all areas of responsibility. In all areas of responsibility both on or off property, director is accountable for compliance, profitability, goal attainment, quality control, budget adherence, analysis, reporting, guest service and operational effectiveness. Must be able to learn and use all software, hardware as well as work in any position within all areas of responsibility. Assist with guest benefit delivery and become directly involved to provide resolution regarding guest complaints as needed. Conduct short and long-term planning, strategy, budget development, goal setting and result interpretation. Oversee group fulfillment procedures, processes and systems including dining, transportation, gaming incentives, etc. Oversee the development, administration and selling of HPRC's internal and external sponsorship program. Oversee and control the competitive shop program. Maintain awareness and communicate competitor's marketing programs, calendars, reinvestment and benefit strategies among the HPRC competitive set. Ensure HPRC products are effectively merchandised, creatively packaged and are value-perceived across all current and potential markets. Continually search out new markets, identify consumer needs and effectively match and/or package existing products to meet needs. Oversee the development of procedures and quality control systems to ensure the highest standards of benefit delivery, data integrity and proactive guest sales and service. Provide on-going training to ensure staff is making sound reinvestment decisions and remain thoroughly knowledgeable of the card program, club benefits, the features of the park and all marketing programs and promotions. Oversee and administer policy and procedure for operational initiatives and event/promotional support. Conduct audits and reconciliation reporting, review all related paperwork and provide applicable reports and assessments. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Manages a total of 10 to 20 employees in the VIP Services and Sales areas. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. SOCIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Must have an outgoing, energetic and enthusiastic attitude. Must be comfortable initiating conversations and creating a fun environment with our guests. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
