What You Will Do As an Associate with St. Vincent Health-IN, you
will have the opportunity to collaborate with a physician,
providing for the expansion of individualized primary healthcare
services by diagnosing and treating certain acute or chronic health
conditions. Responsibilities: Obtains patient history and performs
assessment via observation, interview and examination. Orders,
performs and interprets diagnostic studies. Performs preventative
health assessments, screening, immunizations and patient care.
Provides direct treatment and management of health conditions via
referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.
Counsels and educates patients and their families/caregivers
concerning preventative health, treatment options and community
resources. Documents delivery of health care and nursing processes
in accordance with specific specialty area standards and network
nursing policy. What You Will Need
Licenses/Certifications/Registration: Required Credential(s): BLS
Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA)
obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer
date. For NPs, Nurse Practitioner specializing in Prescriptive
Authority credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained
within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. For
NPs, Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of
Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. For PAs,
one or more of the following: Physician Assistant credentialed from
the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
(NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Physician
Assistant credentialed from the Indiana Physician Assistant
Committee obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education: For NPs, Master's degree of Nursing required For PAs,
graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program Master's degree
required. Work Experience: At least 1 year of experience required.
