It boasts a significant research budget and a vibrant campus environment, recognized for its ambitious design and strategic growth initiatives.Job OverviewThe College of Medicine at UC, established in 1947, is renowned for its excellence in medical education, research, and clinical care, particularly within the Department of Neurology & Rehabilitation Medicine. We are seeking a highly qualified Business Research Director to lead our research programs, oversee operations, and support investigators in securing and managing research funding and compliance.Essential Functions

• Manage and oversee research activities, including project development, data management, and regulatory compliance.
• Assist investigators with grant writing, budget preparation, and submission processes.
• Develop training programs for research staff and maintain tracking systems for compliance training.
• Create and implement standard operating procedures, troubleshoot issues, and ensure regulatory adherence.
• Mentor department staff on financial and operational aspects of research.
• Engage with leadership to strategize and enhance research initiatives and funding opportunities.
• Analyze data and metrics to evaluate research program performance and efficiency.
• Supervise staff involved in research administration as needed.
• Perform additional duties as required by departmental needs.Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 7 years of related research administration experience.Physical Requirements/Work EnvironmentStandard office environment with typical physical demands.Compensation and BenefitsCompetitive salary commensurate with experience, along with comprehensive benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, tuition remission, and wellness programs.
