Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Bloomington, IN Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,770 per week Shift Information: Nights - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/10/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 18 months License: Must have state license prior to start date Certifications: ACLS, BCLS required; NIH preferred Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred Description: Charge pay offered. Mix acuity unit; must be comfortable with progressive care and medical-surgical care and will work across both if needed. Patient ratios of 1:5. Orientation hours are included. First-time travelers accepted. Weekend requirement is every other weekend. Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required. Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Special requirements include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, post-cardiac surgery care, and arterial line management. Experience in blood product administration and central line management is necessary. Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips is required. Preferred skills include intra-aortic balloon pump care and management, pre/post cardiac catheterization, and care of ventilated patients. Patients will have diagnoses including cardiovascular surgery, thoracic surgery, and various medical conditions. The unit has a mixed acuity with a focus on cardiovascular and oncology patients. All patient rooms are private with appropriate lifting equipment available. Telemetry monitoring is a key component of patient care.
