Care Location: Fort Wayne, IN Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,218 per

Experience: Minimum 2 years ICU RN experience License: Current
Indiana or compact RN license Certifications: BLS (AHA only), ACLS
(AHA only) Must-Have: Competent in radial and arterial sheath
management Description: The position involves general nursing
duties in a cardiac procedural unit. The unit cares for a mix of
progressive and ICU level patients. Patients may have recently
undergone cardiac procedures, experienced a myocardial infarction,
or had device implants. Nurses must manage radial and arterial
sheaths effectively. Assistance for sheath removal is available if
needed. The ICU may include patients on ventilators. Staff should
have knowledge of cardiac medications. Travel staff are not
assigned to patients requiring specific advanced cardiovascular
support devices. Equipment used includes electronic charting and
medication administration systems. Nurses will rotate to similar
units when necessary and may float down to progressive care units.
The department specializes in managing patients with acute cardiac
disease and post-procedural care. The focus is on critical care
interventions and patient education for managing heart conditions.
