Details - Department: Cardiac Services - Schedule: Full Time Night - 7pm/7am - Hospital: Ascension St. Vincent Heart Center - Location: 10580 N. Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. - Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate. - Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. - Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. - Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration: - BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. - Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. - Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education: - Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire. Additional Preferences VOTED 1 HEART HOSPITAL IN ALL OF INDIANA BY MONEY MAGAZINE AND 2 IN THE NATION PREFER AT LEAST 1-2 YRS PREVIOUS ICU EXPERIENCE IN A HIGH ACUITY INPATIENT HOSPITAL Ascension St. Vincent Heart Center provides a wide range of treatments and minimally invasive interventions. There are 40 Critical Care and ICU beds and 40 Progressive beds. Our State-Of-The-Art heart care is provided utilizing a Universal Bed Model. The universal bed model is an innovative care delivery system that allows patient care to be managed in one setting room post-operation to discharge.
