Medical Laboratory Technician Location: Indianapolis, IN Agency:
Mindlance Health Pay: $35 to $38 per hour Contract Duration: 6
Months Start Date: ASAP About the Position Responsibilities
Responsibilities are interchangeable across Medical Laboratory
Scientist (MLS), Medical Technologist, and Clinical Laboratory
Scientist roles; work environment/department will be specified in
the assignment Determine specimen acceptability according to
established criteria Perform routine and complex laboratory testing
per departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Operate,
monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation Make technical
decisions related to testing and problem resolution Prepare, test,
and evaluate new reagents and controls Ensure accurate and timely
reporting of test results to support quality patient care Perform
and document preventive maintenance and quality control activities
Identify, stock, and replenish testing bench supplies Assist with
specimen processing as needed Maintain a safe work environment and
comply with PPE requirements Requirements Minimum 6 months of
relevant clinical laboratory experience ASCP or AMT certification
preferred
