Medical Lab Scientist for a local contract job in Indianapolis,
Indiana. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Medical Lab
Scientist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date:
02/16/2026 - Duration: 26 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8
hours, days - Employment Type: Local Contract Position: Medical Lab
Scientist Speciality: Chemistry, Immunnology, Hematology, etc. with
testing Duration: 26 weeks of Contract to FTE Location:
Indianapolis, IN Shift Timing: 1st shift. Mon – Fri. 8am – 5pm EST.
Rotating Tues – Sat schedule. OR 2nd shift. - Mon - Fri. 1pm -
930pm EST. Rotating Tues - Sat schedule. They will have 1 day
weekend and then 3 day weekend. Required skill •/tChemistry,
Immunnology, Hematology, etc. with testing •/tMinimum 1 year of
CLIA lab experience •/tMinimum 6-months of pertinent clinical
laboratory testing experience is required. •/tSome instrument
experience •/tWe’ll need an individual to have clinical laboratory
testing experience at the level of a Medical Laboratory
Scientist/Technologist within a core laboratory. Job Description: •
Responsibilities are interchangeable within job titles of medical
laboratory scientist (MLS), medical technologist or clinical
laboratory scientist. • Work environment/department will be listed
in requirement. Determine the acceptability of specimens for
testing according to established criteria. • Perform routine and
complex technical procedures and functions according to
departmental Standard Operating Procedures. • Monitor, operate and
troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality. •
Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding
testing and problem solving. • Prepare, test, and evaluate new
reagents or controls. Report accurate and timely test results to
deliver quality patient care. • Perform and document preventive
maintenance and quality control procedures. • Identify and
replenish testing bench supplies as necessary. • Assist with
processing of specimens when needed. Maintain a safe work
environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
Experience: • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical
Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or meet local regulatory
(CLIA & State) requirements. • Minimum 2-4 years of clinical
laboratory testing experience is required. • Proficient with
computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems is a
plus. • High level of attention detail along with strong
communication and organizational skills. • Flexibility to work
overtime or other shifts depending on business needs. Apidel
