Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Dayton, OH Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,779 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/30/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Dayton, Ohio, 45409! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Stepdown Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1.5 years in Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit License: Current Registered Nurse license required Certifications: BLS, NIH required; ACLS preferred Must-Have: - Experience in a 1:5 patient ratio setting in Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit - EPIC experience - Ability to pass an online EKG tele competency assessment - Competency in running IV drips, including heparin, nitroglycerin, and others - Availability to work every other weekend and holiday Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse specialized in cardiac care. Experience in Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit is essential. The nurse must be capable of managing patients with various cardiac conditions, including heart failure and NSTEMI. The nurse will administer medications and manage IV drips crucial for patient care. The daily average census includes heart failure patients and those experiencing chest pains or complications from drug/alcohol use. The RN will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care. Expected patient ratios are 1:5 to 1:6. The role includes floating between units based on patient needs. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in reading and interpreting cardiac telemetry. This position is contingent on completion of lab work and an EKG/Dysrhythmia exam within a specified time frame.
