tractor-trailer/truck to transport goods, materials, or equipment
to specified destinations. Plan routes and meet delivery schedules,
complying with all DOT regulations and safety standards. Manage
documentation related to cargo, route, and fuel expenditures,
ensuring accuracy and timely submission. Inspect vehicles for
mechanical items and safety issues, reporting maintenance or
repairs as needed. Monitor road conditions and traffic reports to
alter routes when necessary to deliver payloads safely and
efficiently. Coordinate with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and
customers to ensure prompt load times and communicate any delays or
issues promptly. Ensure the security of the cargo during transport.
Proficient in operating heavy trucks and managing longer hauls.
Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety standards.
Effective communication and organizational skills. Ability to
maintain accurate logs and records. Skills in basic vehicle
maintenance and troubleshooting. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance
Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Must possess a valid Class A
Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A). Preferably holding
certifications like Hazardous Materials Endorsement (HazMat)
although not required.
