What You'll Be Doing
The Packaging and Serialization Data Broker Solutions Architect supports systems for Global Packaging Printed Material Management (BLUE, EyeC, Pkg Engineering CAD Systems, Lilly's Serialization Data Broker - TraceLink). This critical role within the Eli Lilly Supply Chain involves system support, leading and influencing business teams, serialization trading partners, IT teams, and software suppliers in the global packaging space. Key deliverables include developing and leading solution implementation to influence the Pharma Supply Chain business unit.
Your role involves collaborating with Global Packaging and Serialization teams to understand business requirements and integrate solutions seamlessly. Responsibilities include software configuration, troubleshooting, system testing, validation, and training/documentation to ensure efficient, compliant serialization processes. Your expertise will optimize packaging and serialization operations, enhance product traceability, and ensure regulatory compliance.
How You'll Succeed


  • Design, develop, validate, implement, and maintain Packaging and Data Broker solutions (BLUE, EyeC, Pkg Engineering CAD Systems, TraceLink), ensuring serialization compliance, performance, and data integrity.
  • Collaborate effectively with engineering and packaging teams, driving continuous improvement.
  • Lead testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance to ensure system reliability and data accuracy.
  • Benchmark emerging serialization trends and technologies to drive innovation.
  • Ensure documented processes meet quality and compliance standards, with knowledge of GMP and CSV regulations.
  • Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address issues and optimize systems.
  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders and vendors, articulating technical concepts effectively.

    What You Should Bring

    • Experience with Serialization Data Broker Solutions such as TraceLink.
    • Understanding of serialization exchange requirements (e.g., US DSCSA).
    • Experience with Packaging Material Management Software and CAD software.
    • Knowledge of SaaS cloud computing, file transfer protocols (XML, AS2, EPCIS).
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
    • Knowledge of serialization protocols, product labeling, and regulatory standards (GS1, FDA DSCSA).
    • System integration experience with ERP, SAP, ATTP, Data Marts.

      Basic Qualifications

      • Bachelor's in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
      • At least 1+ years experience with Serialization Data Exchange Software (e.g., TraceLink).
      • Knowledge of Packaging Material Management Software.

        Compensation for this role ranges from $63,750 to $145,200, depending on experience and location. Full-time employees are eligible for bonuses, benefits, 401(k), pension, health insurance, and other well-being programs. Lilly reserves the right to modify compensation and benefits policies.
