Sirmax North America Inc is growing and expanding. We are looking for a motivated person to add to our Purchasing department.Job Summary Purchasing or Sourcing SpecialistThe Purchasing or Sourcing Specialist responsibilities may include: seeking reliable vendors or suppliers to provide quality goods at reasonable prices, negotiating prices and contracts reviewing technical specifications for raw materials, components, and equipmentPurchasing or Sourcing Specialist Duties and Responsibilitiesupdate of delivery dates in purchase orders SAP managementSourcing Specialist will manageme reminders to suppliersPrepare purchase orders or other agreements as necessary and check them for accuracy and completeness before issuing.Review acknowledgements for agreement with purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies with the supplierFollow-up or expedite orders as necessary to meet schedules.Follow up on tracking goods and materials.Review and resolve invoice exceptions as expressed by Accounts Payable.Other duties as assigned Purchasing or Sourcing Specialist Required Skills/AbilitiesProficiency in: Microsoft Office and SAPPurchasing Specialist must have strong organizational and excellent communication skillsPurchasing or Sourcing Specialist must be able to negotiate with Vendors to drive pricing downMinimum 2 years related Supply Chain experience.Must have a positive, customer-focused outlook and have a strong learning orientation. Education and Experience requirements for Purchasing or Sourcing SpecialistCollege or Technical Degree or equivalent gained from 2+ years of Supply Chain Procurement experienceHigh school diploma.
