small toys to crafting items to stationery to …well just about
anything. Goodwill Industries of Northeast Indiana, Inc. is looking
for someone to help put these packages together! ABOUT GOODWILL

by Reverend Edgar J Helms, Goodwill has been providing
opportunities for men and women across America and around the world

1936 when Reverend Helms proposed a federation of Goodwill
Industries across northern Indiana. Today, we continue to flourish
as we serve 10 county area in Northeast Indiana. As a 501c3

people to achieve economic stability and build strong communities
by offering job training, employment services, and other
community-based programs. We support this mission through the
eco-friendly collection and sale of donated goods. National

opportunities for career development. A day in the life of a Grab
Bag Assembler Each day, the stores will send to our corporate
office boxes of odd-ball miscellaneous items that could be sold if
only someone could organize and package them. That’s where you come
in! You get to go through the boxes and check items for quality.
Items that meet our standards are then sorted, packaged, priced and
boxed to go back to our stores for sale. You may also help with
training volunteers or others who may be assisting with assembling
grab bags. While Goodwill will provide all the training you might
need for this position, we do require someone that can be depended
upon to work their schedule, be able to lift, push and/or pull up
to 20 pounds occasionally to move objects, and be able to use basic
tools such as box cutters, tape guns, hole punchers and
stapler/staple removers. We anticipate that this position will be
scheduled @ 12 hours per week, and can be somewhat flexible (within
corporate office hours). ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Unbox donated items
and inspect items for quality/damage. Separate damaged items from
sellable items. Clean sellable donated items as needed. Sort items
into similar categories. Bag items Label, seal and price bags. Box
the grab bags and label the box for distribution to a store. Keep
work area orderly throughout the work day Maintain an inventory of
needed supplies Follow grab bag program instructions and meet
production needs. Refers problems to management. Moderate lifting
and pushing. Follows all safety rules and practices. Performs all
other duties as may be assigned by management in the process of
carrying out the mission of Goodwill Industries. In order to
promote customer and donor satisfaction it is mandatory for
employees who come in contact with the public to maintain a
positive work outlook and to project a pleasant, courteous, and
helpful demeanor at all times when dealing with customers, donors,
co workers and clients. NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Assist with
training volunteers or others who may be assisting with assembling
grab bags. ATTENDANCE Goodwill and your co-workers depend on you to
be at work as scheduled. JOB PERFORMANCE Reviewed upon initial hire
at 30, 60 and 90 days, and annually thereafter by the CMO & VP of
Workforce Development SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None EDUCATION

Requirements: Lifting and pushing up to 50 pounds occasionally to
move objects. The ability to fully perform lifting and moving
duties is mandatory. Environmental Conditions: The worker is
